Collin County Judge Chris Hill has appointed David Bristol of Prosper and John Rattan of Anna to the North Central Texas Workforce Solutions Board of Directors for terms that expire on September 30, 2022. The North Central Texas Workforce Solutions Board oversees the planning, oversight, policy guidance and design of services in 12 Texas Workforce Centers located across the 14-county workforce development area. The North Central Texas Workforce Solutions Board is one of 28 Workforce Development boards in the State of Texas and is one of the larger boards in Texas.

Workforce Board Members are leaders within their communities and are appointed by the chief elected official of the county in which they reside or operate their business. Because businesses are the driving force within the economy, the Board is comprised largely of private business leaders. However, the Board includes representatives from the other key partners within the workforce system: economic development entities, chambers of commerce, labor, education and community organizations.

David Bristol is the co-founder, President, and CEO of Employee Solutions, LP, one of the largest privately-held staffing firms in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The company employs over 3,000 individuals on a weekly basis and provides more than 100 internal full-time jobs. Employee Solutions was named one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing privately held companies in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015; and received the SMU Cox School of Business’ Dallas 100 Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014. During his first career in the United States Air Force, Bristol served as an F-111 and F-15E fighter pilot, for which he received the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, and numerous Air Medals. He is also a former councilman and Mayor Pro Tem for the Town of Prosper.

John Rattan is the founder of The Body Shop Collision Repair centers with over 90 employees and 3 locations. John also operates a working farm in northern Collin County that was part of the original Collin County land grant in 1840. A native of McKinney, John believes in being involved in his community. The list of his involvement on boards, organizations and initiatives is quite lengthy, and it demonstrates his dedication to providing leadership in areas where the impact is on quality of life and pride in the community. Residing in Anna, John is married and has four children and four grandchildren.
